Automatic knife shipping?

I am from texas and I am looking at getting a stiletto knife (a real one not one of the knockoffs) and was curious if anyone knew about the shipping laws for regular civilians concerning automatic knives. If it can't be shipped as a whole product can it be shipped as parts?
